thoughts from a common man

Revival. Revival. Revival. An over-hyped word expressing what our walks with Jesus could be. He’s already here. Live it!

Today I have been going thru and cleaning up papers. That have been stored for years. Looking at them and seeing the years that are printed on the papers. Has inspired me to see God has been working in Talladega for years. This church building, that I’m in right now. Once was full of people that loved Jesus. He can do it again, I believe in a big God. God let New Life Alliance church be a light house to this community. For people can come here and we can show them and point to Jesus new life for them.

I am blessed to have the friends, that I have in my life. A friend who supports you during a time of living your dreams. Where they help achieve them any way they can. Are worth it’s weight in gold. Thank you Micah and Kevin, for believing in whats going on here in Talladega.

Tomorrow is Easter, the super bowl of the Christian faith. What Jesus did for me on the cross. I can’t put words to it and what I feel about it.

But Tomorrow is the end of Lent. I can drink coffee. I’m excited to drink coffee. I’ve learned so much from it. How Jesus fills that hole that is there. Thank you Jesus for being my provider and filling my life with you.

God doesn’t go on our schedule. He works on His clock, when He sees fit or when He thinks your ready.

Jesus, it’s 1:42 am, you are speaking bright and clear. I don’t care if I have church in the morning fill my heart more.

I LOVE COOKING…

Since I have been in Talladega, Jesus has been teaching me a lesson. What it means to be a follower of Christ. Every time I set my foot in Huddle House. I see faith and Jesus at work in people’s lives. Every time, I’m in there reading and having some coffee or sweet tea. I have a conversation with people. That are believing in Jesus right in the middle of there lives. In the middle of there messy lives. There are days when I hear the gospel so clearly and lived out from people that are not attending a “church”. I see Jesus in the middle of that place on highway 21. As much as I did in that bus stop in Atlanta, GA. Jesus loves loving and showing the gospel to those who are in the middle of there messy lives. It hasn’t changed in 2000 years. Jesus loves hanging out with people outside of the church building. I love watching faith being lived out in people’s lives, it helps build my faith in Jesus.

I love leadership… If it means reading about the subject, talking about it or going to a conference and learning about it.

My goal in till end of the year is to read biography and autobiography on great leaders from the past. I want to try to read a least one a month.

The first one I’m going to read is on Hitler. I may not like what he stood for. But he was a man who people followed.

God has been providing for me. More then normal, He has been so gracious to me. The times since I have been in AL. So about 4 month, the times I have been in need there has been food that has been provided and money has appeared. My income comes in through support from friends and family. It’s a little scary sometimes but my GOD is bigger then my situation and has been providing for me.

MY GOD IS GOOD…..
